We proclaim the UNITED NATURE DEMOCRACY!

What we can imagine today shapes the world of tomorrow. But how do we create images of a future that we ourselves do not yet know? And what kind of future will artificial intelligence design when it works with the hopes, concerns, and ideas of the younger generation?

Bold Visions of the Future for 2040–2100

The United Nature Democracy in the Museum Garden sees itself as a space of experimentation for the future: At 15 audio stations across five continents of the future, stories from the years 2040 to 2100 describe possible developments that have emerged from the ideas of Generation Z, with the support of artificial intelligence. The narratives open up new perspectives on the coexistence of humans, nature, and technology and invite visitors to develop their own visions of a future worth living in.

Two pioneering projects by Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Lois Weinberger complement the exhibition and demonstrate the contribution that the arts and culture can make to societal change.

The Regenerative Future Ladder Becomes the UND Flag

The four colors of the UND flag represent different stages of development on the path toward a regenerative future. They range from a perspective more focused on the individual (orange) through an openness to nature (green) to a holistic understanding of the world and coexistence (yellow and turquoise).
